My ecstatic recommendation of 3 of my favourite books, all related, directly or indirectly, to surrealism: DOWN THERE by Leonora Carrington, originally written in the 1940s; OCCURRENCE IN THE IMMEDIATE UNREALITY by Max Blecher, from the 1930s; and Luisa Valenzuela’s DEATHCATS from the 1970s.
